Welcome to the ALFA website (the “Site”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site and any related services, content, events, communications, and membership resources offered by ALFA (the “Organization,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
ALFA is an organization that brings together forwarding and logistics companies to represent their interests and defend their rights in the United States. ALFA may offer educational resources, advocacy initiatives, industry updates, networking opportunities, and membership services.
You may use this Site only if you:
Are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), and
Have the authority to accept these Terms if you are using the Site on behalf of a company or other entity.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
ALFA may offer membership for qualified companies or individuals. Membership eligibility, benefits, pricing, renewals, and requirements (if any) are described on the Site or in membership materials.
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
We may request additional information to confirm eligibility.
ALFA reserves the right to accept, deny, suspend, or terminate membership as permitted by law and in accordance with organizational policies.
Members agree to:
Provide accurate, current information,
Maintain confidentiality of member-only content,
Act professionally in ALFA events, forums, and communications.
The Site may include information about regulations, industry practices, advocacy issues, compliance topics, and other materials relevant to freight forwarding and logistics.
All information is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice, regulatory advice, tax advice, or professional services. You should consult qualified professionals regarding your specific situation.
ALFA may publish statements, position papers, newsletters, and public comments relating to forwarding and logistics issues in the United States.
These materials reflect ALFA’s general views at the time of publication and may change.
ALFA does not guarantee that any advocacy effort will achieve a particular outcome.
Participation in advocacy initiatives may be subject to additional guidelines or terms.
Unless otherwise stated, ALFA owns or licenses the Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, design elements, downloads, and compilations (collectively, “Content”).
You may:
View and print Content for your internal business or personal reference.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, sell, license, or create derivative works from the Content without our prior written consent, except where permitted by law.
ALFA, its logo, and related marks are trademarks of ALFA (or its licensors). Unauthorized use is prohibited.
If you submit content to ALFA through the Site (e.g., forms, event registrations, comments, testimonials, applications, or inquiries), you represent that:
You have the right to submit it, and
It does not violate any law or third-party rights.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant ALFA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your submission for operational purposes (such as responding to requests, administering membership, and improving services).
You agree not to:
Use the Site in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation,
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, member areas, servers, or systems,
Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code,
Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without permission,
Impersonate another person or entity,

We may suspend or restrict access if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
The Site and Content are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALFA disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability.
ALFA does not warrant that:

Any defects will be corrected.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALFA will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Site or Content.
If ALFA is found liable for any claim, ALFA’s total liability will be limited to the amount you paid to ALFA for use of the Site or services in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater, unless a different limitation is required by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ALFA and its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
Your use of the Site,
Your violation of these Terms,
Your violation of any third-party right,
Your submitted content.
Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect information.
By using the Site and providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications from ALFA electronically (e.g., email, on-site notices), including membership or event-related messages.
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link (if provided). Certain operational communications may still be sent as necessary.
We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
